The 38th round saw a couple of guys known more for gloves proving useful in the box and on the bases, a somewhat out of nowhere rookie who looked like Captain Ron’s mentor John Jaso’s best self, though the strikeout rates don’t really compare, and a couple of pitchers who were very helpful early, but faded once the workload picked up after past usage more in the bullpen.
