What Happened Last Week. Top Fantasy Hockey Performers.
It was a short week with the All Star game, but a good list none the less including a couple of Alex’s and the current NHL save percentage leader.
Alex DeBrincat – To say that DeBrincat has been a pleasant surprise is an understatement. With 33 points in 51 games so far, and playing top 60 minutes, 55 points isn’t out of the question. Not bad for a free agent pick up. Oh and he’s only owned in 68% of all fantrax leagues so he might be available in your league too.
Alexander Radulov – Radulov is well on his way to a career year in his age 31 season. Radulov has lived up to his draft expectations since his return to the NHL. He is worth buying if he is available in your dynasty league.
Sam Reinhart – Reinhart like many players in Buffalo is yet to live up to expectations, and its hard to say if he will. The 2014 draft class so far hasn’t proven to be a strong one, with the top 2 picks in the draft trending well below expectations.
Jeff Petry – With the Weber injury, Petry has taken full advantage of his extended power play time, and it has put him in position to post a career high in points. I think he is worth streaming for now at least until Weber returns.
Carter Hutton – As of today, Hutton is the NHL leader in save percentage. Yes you read that correctly. Believe it or not he is available in 38% of leagues. Get him now, he has taken Jake Allen’s job, and it doesn’t look like he is handing it back any time soon with 10 starts in January and only posted a save percentage below 0.917 twice.
